One of them, Thepharit Sirirat, said the incident occurred after heavy rain caused a blackout in his village on Tuesday. The PEA turned the power back on around midnight, but "the current was far too high", Mr Thepharit said. The villagers said the PEA was investigating the cause of the problem.
